FRANKLIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Franklin County woman, who was arrested in connection to the death of her husband, had her bond reduced.

The Natchez Democrat reported the bond for Kaci Woods, 28, was reduced from $300,000 to $150,000. She has been charged with second-degree murder after the shooting death of her husband, James Marshal Woods, 53.

The shooting occurred just after 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 13 in the area of Old Loop Road in Franklin County.

According to authorities, Kaci Woods said she acted in self-defense. She was held for questioning before she was charged.

Her case has been bound over to the grand jury.
