Laurel police charge two after man shot in head

LAUREL, Miss. (WHLT) – Laurel police arrested two men in connection to a shooting that left a man in critical condition.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of Ferrill Street and Rose Avenue on December 18. When officers arrived at the location, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Police said the unidentified victim was transported to the South Central Regional Medical Center (SCRMC) for treatment. He was then transported to Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg where he is listed in critical condition.

Police said they arrested two suspects in connection to the shooting. Keamond McLeod was charged with aggravated assault, and Kevon McLeod was charged with one count of accessory before the fact of aggravated assault.

Keamond McLeod’s bond was set at $1 million, and Kevon McLeod’s bond was set at $500,000.
