JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested the man wanted in connection to a deadly gas station shooting in July.
On July 20, the Jackson Police Department (JPD) began investigating a homicide that occurred at a Texaco off Medgar Evers Boulevard. The victim, Jacobi Austin, died at the scene. Police arrested Dakeria Hawkins in connection to the shooting. She was charged with accessory after the fact to murder. Police suspected that Adrian Sutton killed him and issued an arrest warrant.

JPD arrested the 24-year-old around 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Sutton is charged with murder for his role in Austin’s death.
