JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Entergy Mississippi crews are working to restore power to thousands of customers following Saturday’s severe storms.

As of 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 29, the company reported less than 36,000 customers are still without power.

Entergy Mississippi has more than 235 additional lineman, vegetation workers and damage assessors working alongside internal crews to restore power. Additional crews have been requested.

Officials said residents should stay away from downed power lines, as well as flooded areas.
