Three wanted for carjacking Jackson Lyft driver

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are searching for at least three suspects after a Lyft driver was carjacked and assaulted.

Officers responded to Autumn Woods Apartments on Flag Chapel Road around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 28.

According to Detective Tommie Brown, Michael Williams stated that he picked up three unidentified men on Eminence Row and transported them to the apartment complex.

When they arrived, Williams said one of the suspects pointed a handgun at him, and they demanded that he get out of the vehicle. Brown said Williams was struck with the handgun, and the suspects stole his vehicle.

The vehicle was later recovered on Queen Mary Lane at Ginger Drive. No arrests have been made at this time.
