BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (WJTV) – Two Brookhaven men have been arrested in connection to a homicide.
The Daily Leader reported the fatal shooting occurred on Auburn Drive near Arlington Road in Lincoln County around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, December 28.
Lincoln County deputies said a witness reported seeing a suspect standing outside of a vehicle who fired shots into the driver’s side of the vehicle. The suspect ran away and was picked up by a second vehicle, according to the witness.
According to deputies, the victim, Daniel Jackson, of Hattiesburg, had been shot multiple times and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
During the investigation, deputies obtained warrants for Jadahn Brooks, 20, and James Robinson, Jr., 21. They were located in the Gulfport area and were arrested without incident on Monday, December 30.
Both Brooks and Robinson have been charged with first-degree murder. They were booked into the Lincoln County Jail. A judge placed no bond on both suspects.
