JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Four people are in custody after a shooting near a Jackson nightclub.

The shooting occurred in the 2400 block of Bailey Avenue before 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 2.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said Capitol police found one person suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Martin said four people were taken into custody and transported for further investigation. The suspects have not been identified.
