Three suspects identified in fatal New Year’s Eve shooting in Adams County

NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – The three suspects, who were arrested in connection to a deadly New Year’s Eve shooting in Adams County, have been identified.

The Natchez Democrat reported the suspects were identified as Aereia Hearron, 28; Darryl Hurts Jr., 26; and Jeremiyah Clark, 23.

Hearron was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Hurts was charged with accessory after the fact of murder, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and an MDOC probation violation. Clark had two Natchez Police Department warrants for murder and attempted murder.

The shooting occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31 in the area of Finger Lane off of Lower Woodville Road.

Adams County Coroner James Lee identified the victim as Keyuan King, 24, of Natchez. King’s body was transported to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for an autopsy. Two others were injured during the shooting.

The three suspects were later arrested at the Rodeway Inn in Vicksburg around 6:30 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
