JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Police are investigating after a body was found in South Jackson.

Investigators said they received a call around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday from someone who passed by the area and noticed the body on Venus Avenue.

When they arrived, officers found a deceased man. He has not been identified.

Police said no foul play is suspected at this time.
