GLUCKSTADT, Miss. (WJTV) – A woman faces multiple charges after she was driving on the wrong side of the interstate, Gluckstadt police said.
Officers said they were dispatched to a vehicle going southbound in the northbound lane of traffic on I-55 near the 114-mile marker on Thursday, January 9.
According to police, the driver, 26-year-old Thadiesha Funchess, hit another vehicle in Canton city limits. Officers were able to stop Funchess after she made it back to the correct side of the interstate near the Gluckstadt Road bridge on I-55 South.

Police said Funchess appeared to be intoxicated. She was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
Funchess has been charged with DUI first-offense, careless driving and no vehicle insurance.
