Terry woman dies during Madison County crash

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Terry woman was killed during a crash in Madison County, troopers said.

The crash occurred on Interstate 55 North near the 121-mile marker in Madison County around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2017 Jaguar was traveling northbound on I-55 when the vehicle lost control, collided with an embankment and overturned.

The driver, Madison Walker, 26, received fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to Holmes Community College, Walker was an assistant women’s basketball coach at the college.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
