CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) – Clinton school officials said school resource officers recovered an unloaded gun from an elementary student.
Robert Chapman, Director of Communications for the Clinton Public School District, said school officials were notified on Tuesday, January 14 about an elementary student possessing a weapon on a school bus.
After further investigation, Chapman said officials responded and recovered the unloaded firearm from the fifth-grade student. No other students were on the bus when the school resource officers arrived.
Chapman said the event occurred without incident, and no one was injured.
