MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A shooting in Holly Springs, Mississippi left a teenager dead on Thursday morning, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
The sheriff’s department says the shooting took place on South Memphis Street in the Holly Springs town square. The teen was reportedly shot multiple times and was later pronounced dead.
The suspected shooter fled the area, but after a brief search, they were taken into custody.
According to Rust College, the school went on lockdown because the shooter was on the loose.
