VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – Vicksburg police said a man was shot by his girlfriend’s brother.

The shooting occurred in the 2200 block of Grove Street on Sunday, January 19.

Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones said Lekeyo Tyler was shot following a domestic-related dispute involving his girlfriend’s brother, Zunkca Patterson. His injuries are non-life threatening.

Jones said Patterson and his sister fled the scene after the shooting in a Nissan Altima with a Michigan tag. They headed east on Interstate 20 toward Jackson.

According to the police chief, Patterson was arrested and will be transported back to Vicksburg.
