CANTON, Miss. (WJTV) – A nine-year-old was injured during a duplex fire in Canton.

The fire occurred on North Street on Tuesday, January 21.

According to officials, the nine-year-old suffered minor burns on the stomach.

Canton firefighters said the fire was started by a space heater, which caught the beddings on fire. They said multiple families were affected by the fire.
