Tanker trunk overturns on I-20 in Warren County

UPDATE:

WARREN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) said I-20 eastbound in Warren County has reopened.

WARREN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A multi-vehicle accident has caused a big delay on Interstate 20 in Warren County.

Officials with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) said all eastbound lanes of I-20 at the Flowers exit have been blocked.

According to MDOT, a tanker truck overturned and is leaking fluid. Troopers with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said an 18-wheeler and a cargo van were also involved in the crash.

Troopers said the driver of the cargo van was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The other two drivers were not injured.

Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
