Something Rotten – Vicksburg – Friday
- This event will be from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at Parkside Playhouse. Enjoy a musical comedy set in the 1950s.
Of Salt and Spirit: Black Quilters in the American South – Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday
- This exhibition will feature over 50 handmade and machine-stitched quilts from MMA’s permanent collection, including Crossroads Quilters, Gwendolyn Magee, and several collected by American photographer Roland L. Freeman on his travels.

Stories by the Fire – Natchez – Saturday
- Amy Bluemel of the Chickasaw Nation will share traditional stories with visitors. Refreshments such as popcorn, cookies, hot cocoa, and hot apple cider will be served.
Natchez Farmer’s Market – Natchez – Saturday
- Every week there will be live fresh produce, baked goods, fresh dairy, and arts and crafts all from local growers and artists.
Dixie National Equine and Junior Round-Up Livestock Shows – Jackson – Saturday and Sunday
- The Fire It Up Team Roping event will be held this Saturday and Sunday, January 25-26, at 8:00 a.m. in the Kirk Fordice Equine Center. Team roping requires close cooperation and timing between two highly skilled ropers, a header and a heeler, and their horses. The two mounted riders work together to rope a steer as quickly as possible.
Racing Vehicle Extravaganza – Jackson – Saturday and Sunday
- The 37th Complete Exteriors Racing Vehicle Extravaganza will be held January 25-26, 2025, at the Mississippi Trade Mart in Jackson.
Screening of Always a Winner: Roy Curry, A Quarterback Ahead of His Time – Jackson – Sunday
- Directed by Seth Schwartz, the one-hour film tells the story of Roy Curry who grew up as the son of sharecroppers in Lula, Mississippi. He played quarterback for his high school in Clarksdale, then at Jackson State University, and went on to play two seasons as a wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL.
