Three Rankin County teens charged in string of auto burglaries

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Rankin County deputies announced three teenagers were arrested in connection to 18 auto burglaries.

Investigator Tyler Burnell, with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office, said the burglaries took place over the past week in the Holly Bush Road area. He said multiple firearms, cell phones, wallets and purses were stolen.

As of Friday morning, Burnell said deputies arrested three teenagers in connection to the case. They were identified as Olivia Cruz-Diaz, 18, of Florence; Joshua Hobson, 18, of Brandon; and Noah Bridges, 18, of Brandon.

All three suspects have been charged with 18 counts of auto burglary. They are being held at the Rankin County Detention Center until their initial appearances in Rankin County Court.

Burnell said investigators recovered several items of stolen property resulting from the burglaries.
