JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a woman was found beaten to death at a hotel.

Officers responded to the OYO Townhouse on Beasley Road just after 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4.

According to police, a woman was deceased inside the hotel. Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said the victim received large, traumatic injuries to her body.

Detective Tommie Brown identified the victim as Jessenia Cruz, 21. The suspect in this case, Joshua Malik Boothe, 24, is wanted for murder.
