Three arrested for shoplifting from Madison Ulta Beauty

MADISON, Miss. (WJTV) – Madison police arrested three people from Florida in connection to a shoplifting at Ulta Beauty.

The incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14 at the store in the 100 block of Grandview Boulevard.

According to police, the suspects left in a silver BMW and traveled southbound on Grandview Boulevard. The vehicle was located on Madison Avenue near the West Frontage Road where a traffic stop was conducted.

Police said the three suspects were arrested without incident. Officers also recovered the merchandise that was stolen from Ulta Beauty. The total value of the items stolen was valued at $2,276.

Investigators said officers were also able to recover several bags of stolen merchandise that could be linked to shopliftings in other municipalities in Mississippi, as well as other states.

The suspects were identified as Randolph Joseph, 25; Shira Thompson, 41; and Joseph Mitchell, 60; all of Hollywood, Florida.

All three suspects are being charged with felony shoplifting and felony conspiracy to commit a crime. They are being held at the Madison County Detention Center to await their initial appearance in the City of Madison Municipal Court.

Police said Thompson also has a hold placed on her by Henry County, Georgia, for felony shoplifting.
