MAGEE, Miss. (WJTV) – The Magee police chief said a white supremacist group is attempting to recruit people in the city.
Magee Police Chief Denis J. Borges said stickers bearing the message of the Patriot Front have been posted on gas pumps in the city. He said the group is attempting to recruit young adults and others to join their cause.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Patriot Front promotes hateful ideology under the guise of “American nationalism.” Officials said the group believes their ancestors conquered America and that the nation was bestowed solely upon them.
“I want to remind everyone that hate crimes targeting any race, whether white, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Middle Eastern, LGBTQ, or any religious group will be met with swift and severe legal consequences. Not only does it violate state law, but it also violates federal law. The Magee Police Department is committed to protecting every member of our community from hate fueled violence and intimidation,” said Borges.

Anyone who sees any suspicious or hate-related activity can contact the Magee Police Department.
