7 recovered in Mississippi human trafficking operations

LAMAR COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Authorities in the Pine Belt arrested eight suspects in relation to procuring prostitution as of February 2025.

According to the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, seven female victims were recovered. Two suspects have been arrested on fugitive felony warrants.

Authorities said they’ve seized three firearms and more than $1,000 in currency through human trafficking operations.

The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office, the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, Forrest General Hospital Police, Mississippi Alcohol Beverage Control, the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, and the Center for Violence Prevention took part in the operations.
