LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Lauderdale County deputies arrested a man after an infant was injured.

On January 20, 2025, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services (CPS) about an investigation the agency had initiated due to the infant’s injuries.

Authorities announced on March 5 that Richard Green had been charged with two counts of felony child abuse. His bond was set at $100,000.

The investigation will be presented to the next available grand jury.
