JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Police are investigating after human remains were found in South Jackson.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said the skeletal remains were found Friday afternoon on Greenwood Avenue.

The remains were taken to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy and to determine the identity of the person.
