MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Flora police arrested a man after he allegedly held several passengers, including children, at gunpoint inside of a vehicle.

According to police, Cortez Parker was found holding the passengers at gunpoint. Flora Police Chief Richard Johnson said units were able to intercept the vehicle on Highway 49 northbound.

Parker was arrested without incident and has been charged with kidnapping, possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated assault. He was transported to the Madison County Detention Center.
