Two charged after 3-year-old Mississippi girl dies

PICAYUNE, Miss. (WHLT) – Picayune police arrested a man and a woman in connection to the death of a three-year-old girl.

Police said they responded to Crestwood Drive around 10:15 a.m. on March 18 after receiving a call about a deceased child, who was identified as Aurora Enfinger.

Investigators suspected foul play, and the child’s death was later ruled as a homicide. Detectives obtained a search warrant in the case to gather evidence, and they also recovered steroids.

According to police, Christian and Samantha Enfinger were arrested for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.

On March 20, Samantha Enfinger was charged with capital murder.
