JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A man died after being hit by a vehicle in Jackson.

The incident occurred on Interstate 55 north near Beasley Road around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said the driver stayed at the scene. The pedestrian has not been identified.
