JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg.

The shooting occurred at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Hill Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said the unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No arrest has been made.
