JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson’s Midtown District has a new look thanks to a new affordable housing community.

Noel’s Place sits on the edge of Midtown, brining single-family homes, townhouses and fourplexes to the area.

The development is a joint project by Midtown Partners, the Gulf Coast Housing Partnership and several investors. It took more than five years to complete.

The project focused on long-term affordable housing and allowed buyers to use vouchers and other programs to purchase homes.

“You know, Midtown Partners, our mission is to support the revitalization. So, it’s not to do the revitalization, but it’s to work in partnership with the residents, the Midtown Neighborhood Association, other partners to really get the work done. So, you know, it’s incredible to work alongside residents who are still passionate about their neighborhood and to be able to pull off an investment like this, bring 27 families back to Midtown. We just we can’t say enough of how excited we are,” said Kristi Hendrix, with Midtown Partners, Inc.

Gulf Coast Housing Partnership continues to expand affordable housing across the city. Their next project will be on Leonard Street.
