JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a 14-year-old girl was shot.

The incident occurred on Daniel Circle around 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said the unidentified teen was visiting a home when someone in a vehicle on the street fired shots.

The teenager was transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle. There’s no word on her condition.
