Suspects sought in Mississippi home invasion; victims tied up, robbed

GULFPORT, Miss. (WJTV) – Harrison County deputies are searching for two suspects in connection to a home invasion where they tied up a man and his fiancée.

The Sun Herald reported the incident occurred in the 12000 block of Cypress Bayou Drive in Gulfport around 6:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31.

According to Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley, the male victim said he was hit in the head and arm with a machete while outside the home and forced back inside. The two victims were tied up with zip ties.

Haley said the suspects took an unknown amount of cash and jewelry. They also took the victim’s black 2018 Dodge Charger.

The sheriff said the two victims were able to free themselves and drove to local hospital for treatment.
