JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police announced a man was arrested after stolen air conditioning units and other items were found at a storage facility.
Detective Tommie Brown said Dia Phung, 51, was arrested on Friday, April 4. He was charged with two counts of receiving/possession of stolen goods. Capitol police also have an additional charge on him.
Phung was granted a $20,000 bond. Brown said Phung was also out on bond from charges in Warren County for similar criminal activity, and Warren County plans to go before a judge to revoke his bond.
Jackson police said the stolen items were located after a resident alerted them that her AC unit had been stolen. Officers tracked the unit thanks to a tracking device the resident had installed. They discovered a large amount of AC units and other stolen items at a storage facility on Highway 80 in West Jackson.

Police said the value of the stolen items is estimated to be upwards of $20,000. Police said anyone who wants to retrieve their items should contact the Jackson Police Department (JPD) with proof of purchase, serial number and identification.
