RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Authorities have blocked part of Interstate 20 in Rankin County due to an 18-wheeler fire.
Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said the incident occurred on I-20 West at Highway 18 East on Friday, April 11 just before 5:00 a.m.
According to MDOT, the right lane of I-20 West has been blocked while emergency crews respond to the scene.
According to Pearl police, two drivers were inside the 18-wheeler and were co-driving. The driver and passenger were able to escape the cab of the 18-wheeler and sustained minor injuries.
