HOLMES COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The mother of an Ocean Springs man, who was killed during a Facebook Marketplace transaction in Holmes County, is speaking out after years without justice.

Investigators said Kyle Craig traveled from Ocean Springs to Holmes County in June 2021 in order to buy an ATV he found on Facebook Marketplace. He was reported missing by his family after several hours passed without contact.

Craig’s body was later found on Long Branch Road with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators arrested five suspects in connection to the homicide, but they have all since been released on bond.

Craig’s mother, Julie, said court dates keep getting delayed, and her family feels ignored.

“Numerous times I’ve reached out, and I get answers like, ‘Well, it’s still under investigation.’ It’s always been postponed. This family deserves answers. We deserve justice,” she said.

The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains active, and the district attorney is working to hold those involved accountable.

Craig was survived by his four-year-old son.
