Man charged in fatal George County shooting

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – George County deputies announced a man has been charged in connection to a fatal shooting.

The shooting occurred in the 200 block of CF Ward Road on Friday, May 2.

According to the George County Sheriff’s Office, a person of interest was taken into custody. The victim was identified as George Buckley, 38, of Lucedale.

Investigators said Dante Anderson, 20, of Lucedale, was arrested and charged with manslaughter. He is being held at the George County Regional Correctional Facility pending his initial appearance in court.
