JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – An apartment complex in Jackson is overflowing with trash.
Residents at Chapel Ridge Apartments said trash has been piling up at the complex for months. They said there’s no current manager for the apartment complex, and they’ve been left to essentially fend for themselves.
“It’s been off and on for three years. Nothing consistent going on. Management come, they patch it up. They’ll pick up everything, and fix a couple of things then they’re gone,” said Kevin Hatches, a resident.
“It’s time to find solutions. Make this a priority at City Council meetings, because it’s getting out of hand,” said Byron Brumfield, founder of Medgar Evers Reloaded.
Officials said they’re working to place dumpsters at the site, so residents can safely dispose of their garbage.
