Jackson police arrest man accused of pointing gun at officer in crackdown

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Police said two men have been charged after illegal guns and drugs were found in South Jackson.

Onterrio McDougle, 20, and Zybralian Johnson, 19, were both arrested on Friday, June 6 when authorities conducted a search warrant on a home in the 3000 block of Meadow Forest.

Police said multiple guns, including guns with switches, were recovered. Officers also seized a felony about of marijuana, money and four stolen vehicles.

McDougle was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, terrorist threats, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm and four counts of possession of a machine gun conversion device.

Johnson was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm and four counts of possession of a machine gun conversion device.

According to police, McDougle was wanted for a social media post from March that showed him pointing a gun at a law enforcement officer.

Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said neighbors helped identify the suspects after multiple complaints.

“These individuals were pillaging their community, pillaging their street in their neighborhood. I had citizens calling me about them, getting out there, shooting. Had citizens calling me about them, walking up and down the streets with these assault rifles,” the police chief said.
