JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – There will be a full day of ceremonial and celebratory events for the new leadership of the City of Jackson.

Jackson Mayor-elect John Horhn and other City Council members will be sworn in on July 1, 2025. The events will take place at the Jackson Convention Complex.

Inauguration Day Schedule of Events

• Inaugural Prayer Service
  • 8:00 a.m. | Doors open at 7:15 a.m.
• Inaugural Ceremonies & Oath of Office
  • 11:00 a.m. | Doors open at 10:00 a.m.
• Inaugural Gala
  • 7:00 p.m. | Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

All events are free and open to the public.

Horhn will be sworn in as the 54th mayor of the capital city.
