FLORENCE, Miss. (WJTV) – A crash in Florence caused significant delays on U.S. 49 South.

Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey said a pickup truck went under an 18-wheeler around 8:30 p.m. There’s no word on the pickup truck driver’s condition.

Officials with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) said the two right lanes were blocked on Wednesday night due to the crash on U.S. 49 near Main Street.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
