BRANDON, Miss. (WJTV) – Brandon police announced a 29-year-old man died after a shooting at a block party.
The victim was identified as Roshad Collier. The shooting occurred on Mary Myles Drive on the evening of June 21, 2025.
Brandon Police Chief Joseph French said Collier was transported by private vehicle to Merit Health Rankin following the shooting. His death was confirmed by the Rankin County Coroner’s Office on June 23.
A second male victim remains hospitalized and is currently recovering from his injuries.
This case remains an active investigation. French said detectives are continuing to gather evidence, interview witnesses and follow leads to determining those responsible.
