HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WHLT) – A bicyclist died after being hit by a vehicle in Hattiesburg, police said.

The incident occurred in the area of Timothy Lane and Broadway Drive around 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24.

Hattiesburg police said the unidentified victim, who was operating an electric bicycle, had sustained serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

As of June 25, no charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
