MOSS POINT, Miss. (WJTV) – Moss Point police are searching for two drivers after a motorcyclist was killed during a hit-and-run.
The crash occurred on Interstate 10 westbound between mile markers 68 and 69 on June 25 just before 9:00 p.m.
Police said their preliminary findings showed that the motorcyclist, 62-year-old Michael Urbani, of Vancleave, was struck from behind by a black Chevrolet Malibu. Moments later, police said an all-white 18-wheeler struck Urbani while he was down.
Investigators said both vehicles left the scene without stopping. Urbani was pronounced deceased at the scene.
