LINCOLN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Lincoln County deputies arrested a man in connection to a homicide.

The Daily Leader reported Jerrell Andrew Thomas, 38, was picked up by deputies from Jackson on July 22. He was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Victor Sanders, 45.

The shooting occurred in the 900 block of Mallalieu Drive in Lincoln County on July 16.

The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
