JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a vehicle recovery worker was shot multiple times.

The shooting occurred in the area of TV Road and Gertrude Drive around 10:30 p.m. on July 31.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said the victim was attempted to locate a vehicle when the suspect(s) fired shots at him. The victim received multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police have not released any suspect information. The investigation is ongoing.
