RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Multiple law enforcement agencies continued their search for a missing Rankin County man.
According to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office, teams searched multiple areas on Tuesday along the Rankin and Smith County line for Tracy Stephen Chalk.
Deputies said they received a 911 call after 10:15 p.m. on August 10 regarding a missing person in the area of Woodrow Martin Road near the Rankin County and Smith County line. They learned that Chalk had gone walking in the woods around his home. When he didn’t return, family members set out on ATVs in an attempt to find him but were unsuccessful.
Chalk is 6’ 4” in height and 190lbs in weight. Burnell said he last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, baseball cap and Merrill brand hiking shoes. According to investigators, Chalk has been diagnosed with the early stages of dementia.
