JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are searching for a suspect after shots were fired at a vehicle.

The incident occurred on Northside Drive near Country Club in Jackson just before 12:45 p.m. on August 3.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said a witness observed one person shooting from a vehicle at a person in another vehicle. One bullet hit the windshield of the witness’ vehicle.

After an investigation, detectives identified the shooting as Ladavia Scott, 25, of Jackson. Warrants were issued for Scott on August 11 for drive-by shooting, aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
