JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police provided additional information about a mass shooting at the Parlour Room in North Jackson.
The shooting injured eight people, ages 21 to 40, outside the business on North Mart Plaza early Monday morning.
Capitol Police Chief Bo Luckey said the department has received several leads in the investigation. He said Jackson police are also working alongside their investigators.
“One of the victims in the shooting has been upgraded from critical to stable and is expected to make a full recovery. You know, the other victims, from what I understand, suffered from what are considered non-life-threatening injuries. You know, one thing to not to minimize anything that’s happened has even with, the mental traumatic state of these individuals from dealing with something like this is, is a big deal. But it’s always a good, a silver lining, if you will, that people are going to recover physically from what happened,” Luckey said.
