Mississippi woman arrested for stabbing victim in neck: Deputies

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is now in jail after deputies in Mississippi say she stabbed someone in the neck earlier this month.

Rebecca McEwen, 58, of Oxford, Mississippi, is charged with aggravated domestic violence.

On August 9, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department says they received a report about a domestic violence incident.

The victim told police that they were stabbed in the neck with a knife and was sent to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford for treatment.

During the investigation, Rebecca McEwen was identified as the suspect. A warrant was issued at that time for her arrest.

She was found and taken into custody at the Lafayette County Detention Center on the same day.

She is currently held in jail on a $10,000 bond.
