Starkville woman arrested for stabbing boyfriend to death

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WJTV) – Starkville police announced a woman was arrested after she stabbed her boyfriend to death.

The incident occurred on Gladney Street just before 1:00 a.m. on August 14, 2025.

When officers arrived at the home, they discovered Tykell Harvey, 27, of Starkville, deceased. Police said the victim and the suspect were in a dating relationship.

Following an investigation, Amiya Brown, 28, of Starkville, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. She is being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail.
