MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was arrested in connection with a stabbing at a Horn Lake barbershop on Friday, police say.

Willie Cruz has been charged with Aggravated Assault and is currently being housed at the DeSoto County Jail.

On Aug. 12, at 6:10 p.m., Horn Lake Police Department officers arrived at Baptist DeSoto Hospital about a victim who had a stab wound to the chest.

The victim told police he was stabbed with a pair of scissors during an argument at a barbershop in the 3000 block of Goodman Road.

Police said the victim was transported to the hospital because of his injuries and is in stable condition.

Officers went to the barbershop to investigate, and they were told several witnesses had left the area after the altercation.

HLPD said that investigators arrived on the scene to gather evidence and to identify those involved, but they are still looking for those witnesses to interview.
